Ostrich herl
Tie in the herl here. Make a loop with the tie silk
Do not pull the tie silk until it's under the hook. When it's underneath you stretch it and wind 2-3 turn to secure with the tie silk. Then wind forward with the tie silk against the hook eye.
Tie silk
Look at ostrich herl and you will see that they are bent towards the same direction. Put the ostrich herl so that the fibre points backwards. When the ostrich herl is fastened you take hold in the tip and wind 4-5 tight turns and holds firm. Tie in and secure with 2-3 turns with the tie silk. Then tie in remaining of the ostrich herl. Then you wind forward against the hook eye.
